How did you join Forrester Partners?
A very good case of Chinese Whispers. Hugo (Managing Director) had heard from Kimberley (Head of Research), who had heard from Clare (Researcher), who had heard from a mutual friend that I was back on the market, looking for greener pastures.
What attracted you to Forrester Partners?
After seven years in London, I was ready for a change. I had offers from some of the top litigation firms in Malaysia and had decided to give the Far Eastern Courts a go. Forrester Partners made me an offer that was difficult to refuse. Joining the ranks promised to be fast paced, challenging and exciting. I admired the work ethos that emphasised honesty and transparency - one of the first few things stressed to me from the start. Forrester Partners had a drive and focus that is lacking in many other organisations. They know their stuff, what they want and how to get it. Forrester Partners delivers. I liked and respected that.
Why Executive Search?
Variety and diversity. I enjoy the prospect of working with different clients in different industries and the fact that two projects will never be the same. It encourages continuous learning and constant innovation. This constant challenge will keep me interested and motivated. Communication is key in Executive Search. I speak four languages and am hoping to get in some practice.
What other interests do you have?
I love travelling, seeing new places, learning new cultures and meeting new people. Recently I spent three weeks off the beaten track in India, touring many of the smaller villages like Chanderi and Chitrakoot. It was amazing. I have a passion for dance and martial arts, having trained since I was six years old. On my quieter days,I enjoy literature and the theatre.
What would you be doing if not Executive Search?
I would very likely be practising law and litigating.
