Rick holds a number of non-executive board directorships of companies within the renewable energy sector. He is also founder of PiEnergy which provides consultancy services to the international energy business across a spectrum of activities, with particular focus on the renewables.

Rick’s career has focused on energy and he has held senior level commercial positions with the Royal Dutch Shell Group and also with a privately owned independent power producer with assets located in four continents. Rick has extensive international experience having lived in the Far East, Africa and the Americas. He also leads residential education programmes lecturing on the international energy sector for a US based management training company.

Rick holds a First Class Honours Degree in Electrical Engineering and a Masters Degree in Business Studies; he is a member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology, the Institute of Directors and also the Energy Institute.
